EMX: TTL vs LVDS?

Hello everyone and thank you very much in advance for your time.

I’m currently looking to use the EMX on a larger display and came across a few questions.

  1. TTL or LVDS and why?
  2. Will the EMX be able to handle 800*480 resolution without performance issues
  3. I’m considering designing the PCB with to directly mount onto the rear of the display to reduce the need for another connector. How noisy is the EMX board and does anyone see any issues with this method or should I put the EMX PCB in a shielded enclosure and use a standard cable to connect to the display.

Thanks in advance!

You should use TTL but lvds is possible if you add the needed circuitry.

I do not think any noise will be a problem

Thank you very much Gus for your prompt reply. Are there any other specs I should keep in mind when looking at display choices? From looking around the forum it sounds like 640 * 480 is about the max resolution I want or can these chipsets handle running the smooth graphics at 800*600? Thank you.

The max we support is 800x600 and we are announcing a new display today that is 800x480 so you can try this easily.
