Emx 4.2 Ethernet

Hi,

I see from previous posts that 4.2 is imminent - BUT that is won’t have full ‘Premium’ support yet.

Is there an eta on Ethernet for 4.2 please - as this is a necessity for my projects…

I think Gus mentioned something about 4 weeks time.

The programming API for sockets will not change with 4.2. Unless you need some specific 4.2 feature, you can start with 4.1 and convert later.

I am already using 4.1 (have been for some time :wink: - but my products are about to hit field trials, so I want to be able to ship the latest code possible for trialling.

Once the boards are installed into on-site systems, then upgrading later is more of a problem.

I also want to add some FTP code and this is ‘supposed’ to be supported in the NetMF 4.2 release…

Guess I’ll wait for Gus to answer the question when they have released the 4.2 code…
