@ Jermtown - I’ll leave the judgment of which parts are “too small” to those with more experience in such matters.
Personally, I’m working with components (in terms of SMD, each of my boards only has a single transistor, and two resistors, plus the socket…the LEDs are TH) that are large enough that it’s all easy to do by hand. Takes me 10-15 minutes to do a board.
If my boards were more complex, or if I was making more of them, I might do things differently. Which is a long way of saying “it depends.”
