Shrinks look nice, but they would have to take apart their entire project to put them in… I think it’s a little late for that now 
48 LEDs * 3 wires each = 144 wires and I am not counting the other wires. Electric tape is much easier. Nice to have it look nice but try to wire up 200 wires and tell me if you are going to do it the pretty way or the fast way
You may start pretty on the first 20 but then you will get bored and just do it the easy and fast way…lol
Heh on my multi touch table driven by IR leds i used tape. after the first 50 leds and heat shrink i said screw it.
