ChipworkX hardware handshake not working, what now?

Hi it seams that it is a known issue as it appears in different places in the forum (http://www.tinyclr.com/forum/topic?id=2327), I would like to have a clear understanding of what the next step from GHI on this issue. The hardware handshake of COM3 is advertised in the documentation of the chipworkX (http://www.ghielectronics.com/downloads/ChipworkX/ChipworkX_User_Manual.pdf at page 36) but it apparently does not work. I don’t know why it does not work, if it is a hardware issue that can not be fixed (as it will require a replacement of the hardware) or if a firmware update from GHI can fix that (since it’s a 2 years old issue then I hope there is a fix). In any cases we plan to go to production using the chipworkX module and we need to use the hardware handshake so please I would like to know what is going to happen now? thanks for your help

This was not seriously requested before and Chipworkx firmware was locked for production long time ago at 4.1. GHI has no plan on making any further changes on Chipworkx.

You are welcome to contact GHI directly about our consulting services, custom firmware or future product plans.

IANAL, but I believe that if GHI advertises the feature, they are required to make you whole somehow. I’d call GHI directly and discuss.

@ godefroi - or send back for a refund. We always make sure customer is happy at the end.

Yep, I’d call that “making the customer whole”.
