Chipworkx Framework 4.1 ONLY!

Hi,

Just a question really, How come chipworkx will only support framework 4.1 only? Just seen netmf has just release 4.3!!

Because its firmware is very stable and complete, there is no major reasons to make any changes.

Stable I agree with you on that one. What about newer features that are available in the newer frameworks?

ie Remote Firmware Update, StringBuilder and Regex types (my personal favs) .

I am to miss out on these features and maybe many more becuase it is running stable? What happens to bug fixes/improvements?

Is a firmware update alot of work for you [GHI] to do? If so, then I can understand.

in field update is already implemented on ChipwokrX. RegEx and Visual Basic are about the only things you will miss but there not show stoppers.

Updating the firmware is over 6 months of work and over $100,000 on cost :slight_smile:
