Cerubino Bee Firmware failing Signature Check

I have a number of Cerubino Bee boards and I’ve been trying to get the firmware updated on them. I keep running into issues using MFDeploy to deploy the firmware.

I used the steps on this page:

I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the SDK but I still see the same results. I’ve attached a screen shot of the error dialog.

The “Checking Signature” step seems to get stuck for a very long time (~ 5 minutes) and finally fails with the error message:

Error: Signature check failed for file Firmware.sig. Screenshot attached.

almost exclusively, anyone who has had a problem with a Cerb-family firmware update has missed step 3a on the instructions, the “Create from Map”. I don’t know if you can get past the tinybooter check like you have if you don’t do that, but it’d be worth making sure you try that step again just in case.

I found another forum post that explained my issue. Apparently using USB 3.0 ports makes this fail.

Ah cool; great to know.
