After installing the GHI SDK (2014) I was directed to this file (on my machine of course):
file:///F:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/Atmel/sam-ba_2.12/doc/usb_notice.html
My question is am I expected to take any action with this or not?

depends. If you see anything in a driver that doesn’t work, you might need it. But otherwise, just keep moving along…
