Camera that will work with the Fez Hydra

Hi

I am wanting to buy a camera module for the fez hydra, I contacted mouser and they suggested the http://uk.mouser.com/ProductDetail/GHI-Electronics/CMRAU-GM-283/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMvLNza9%2FK%2FeSAoRVvKuWr80. Has anyone tried and used this? Can it be used for stills and video?

That’s the one and does it work with Fez Hydra? I’ve read some bits saying it doesn’t and others saying it does! I don’t want to buy it if it won’t work.

Yes the camera works with hydra.

I don’t have any camera’s but if I read the spec’s for Hydra :
•14 .NET Gadgeteer compatible sockets that include these types: X, Y, A, D, F, I, K, P, S, T, U, R, G, B and Z.

And then the camera :
A mainboard must have a socket supporting type H to use this module.

I don’t see a socket H in the Hydra specs so I would say, this is not working.

[EDIT] H is a USB host port only availible on the premium boards

You are right. I was thinking the other cameras (L1 and L2), socket U.
