Beta vs. not beta

I see the OSHW Maker Faire announcement (http://www.tinyclr.com/forum/topic?id=8006) where it’s stated that the OSHW firmware is complete which I take to mean no longer in beta. Where can this non-beta package be found?

The “GHI NetMF 4.2 and .NET Gadgeteer Package” link on the Support page (Support – GHI Electronics) still says it’s in beta and the link points to the beta announcement thread which has a link to the July 23rd beta package. If the July 23 package contains beta and non-beta firmware (assuming premium firmware is the code that is still in beta), it would help to see a table of the firmware status of the various devices (including what’s not included such as the USB host). It would be helpful for everyone to see such a table on the support page.

This “GHI NetMF 4.2 and .NET Gadgeteer Package” firmware status table would also help answer questions regarding which premium firmware you are supporting with .NetMF 4.2 such as older hardware.

As it stands now, the conflicting information as to what is beta versus non-beta is a hard sell to management for migrating some products to the Cerb family and .NetMF 4.2.

Thanks

It is complete, as in all features are there, but it is beta.

There is a release candidate out already but only available to insiders to test. It will be public this week.

Always read thd release notes inside the SDK for full details please.

If any of this is a concern then use 4.1 for now please.

Calling it complete is what through me. Thanks for the clarification. I went through all the release notes and below is what I compiled. Please correct me if I got anything wrong. Thanks
