Alias() is a special kind of function that adds new aliases to the system. It is not possible to remove an alias once it is added.
The above is from the language specification.
Is this true? I would think doing an erase all would clear the aliases from flash?
Would an immediate new() command erase them?
I am confused…..

Not possible to remove from the running program. They live in ram, not flash.

The following is also from the specifications…
Aliases are handled in flash and has no RAM usage implications; however, they degrade performance due to the need for searching available aliases.
I little bit more explanation in the documentation should clear it up.
The comment about performance degradation means I most likely will not use aliases.
