I’m reading the ALFAT_SoC_Processor_User_Manual.pdf (…again)
I found this text in the parapraph ALFAT USB Board:
“The board includes pads for RTC 32.768 kHz
crystal. The crystal is not included.”
My question, is this crystal required for normal operation? Or is it only required for keeping the internal clock up and running, so it can set file date and time settings properly?
Can I access the ALFAT USB Board for reading files from a memory stick, using I2C, without adding the crystal?
Could you please explain?
