2x Display CP7 Module on 1 Fez Cobra II

Hi,

Is it possible to extend the Fez Cobra II mainboard in any way so that you can attach 2 CP7 display modules to it?

The controller supports one display only.

Could they use a LCD/touch controller that could be connected via SPI, parallel, etc. to accomplish this?

That would be a different question  But it wouldn’t be CP7 for sure.

Sure - I was just thinking about alternative ways solve the issue, since original question was answered.

– Something like this : https://www.ghielectronics.com/catalog/product/520
(though, I don’t think it’s touch)

Use two mainboards and distribute your application across the boards.

@ Slade - What are you trying to do?

The simplest way to do this would be to use serial displays, such as a display compatible with the coming Eve800 module. These displays come in up to 7".

However, using serial will slow down refresh rates between frames, so you will have to delicately balance everything in your project around the fact that the display(s) may need to update at any time.

We were considering the possibility of using two screens, one for input and the other for output. It was obvious that you couldn’t connect 2 displays to the mainboard but wondered if it was possible with some kind extension.

Well, in that case the input screen doesn’t need speed, so you can hook up something like James suggested for the input and use CP7 for output.
