John I have Windows 10
Gus I live near Palm Springs CA
Also I use a power jack along with the USB.
I have come to the conclusion that this spider was DOA. Going to contact GHI tomorrow and get a replacement board.

@ eidolonsdream - Before you try to return it, can you try another computer? We have seen a few isolated cases of the code 10 error you saw, but havenāt been able to reproduce it here. It seems to be computer specific.
Periodically, I get the same Error 10 - Windows cannot start deviceā¦
To fix this, I apply the following steps.
[ol]Make sure that your Spider is not connected to your PC.
Open the Device Manager. From the View Menu, select the Show hidden devices.
Scroll down to and expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.
There you will find the device(s) that windows cannot recognize and properly load the drivers for.
Right click and remove these offending devices.
When you re-attach the Spider, it should now be properly recognized by your PC.

John I tried updating the tinybooter on two different computers still get Error 10 - Windows cannot start device.
Scardinale I tried your fix however it was unsuccessful for me.
I have searched for other peoples threads who have the same problem and none of their fixes worked for me either.
It has to be the board there is no way it can be this difficult. I watch other peoples tutorials online and everything works and it looks so easy for me every single step and just about every single module has resulted in issue after issue.
