Using Keil for RLP

I already have the Keil compiler so was hoping to use it for RLP programming. I implemented the memory set demo for the RLP Lite example on my EMX board and finally got it to work after changing the native mode arguments for the functions to match what the RLP documentation wants. However when I call the built in RLP functions (for example RLPext->GPIO.EnableOutputMode(pin, state)) my system hangs and it appears that the function does not return. Is it possible to call these functions from Keil?

Keil, GCC or any other complete standard compiler should work exactly the same.
