I am trying to model the USB mini receptacle. How come the USB mini receptacle on the Domino has 5 pins but the schematic only shows 4? What is the extra pin for?
USB Mini - B 5 pin. The missing pin is:
If you look at the photo you attached you’ll also see it has a 5th pin; just doen’t do anything with it. Pin layout is 1, 2, 3, X, 4
1 VCC Red +5 VDC
2 D- White Data -
3 D+ Green Data +
X ID May be N/C, GND or used as an attached device presence indicator (shorted to GND with resistor)
4 GND Black Ground

Some usb connectors have a shielded case, just like some cat45 do.
Don’t worry, you will need only 4. (data RX, data TX, +5v, GND)
