USB Host and Woot Lights

I have a set of Woot Lights that are powered exclusively from USB of my PC. This means USB is powering LED’s and motors.

Can Gadgeteer USB Host handle this as-is? Or do I need to rig some custom electronics? My 2 concerns are

  1. power consumption (does the gadgeteer “pass” the full USB spec power through to that module safely?)
  2. noise (would the motors cause noise and mess up the gadgeteer?

Plug it in and see :wink: As long as your power source is sufficient to supply both the FEZ + the USB device I bet you’ll be fine. If you end up having noise issues that effect things then you can deal with it then. Cool lights!
