I am using USB Host Module to drive one external USB device. The problem is there is insufficient power on the USB Host Module board to drive the USB device. The work around for me is to hook up the USB Host Module to an externally powered hub and then hook my device to the hub.
My suggesting involves adding a small profile barrel type power jack to the USB Host Module and then selling the USB Host Module with additional USB to power jack cable. The USB end of the cable could then be plugged into computer or a wall wart. The power provided to the USB Host Module would not be allowed to power the Gadgeteer main board.
