I see that all the time.
I think it is somewhat related with multiple logins to the same account from different devices, especially, if there’s a mobile phone involved…
I see this very rarely, like once a year. We still do not know why
im sure when all the planets align, the messages get bounced off them and back to your computer showing up as two! 
We’ll see if they continue.
