"Undefined" email address when trying to register Visual C# 2010?

Sorry if this is a FAQ, or in the wrong forum, but I looked around and could not see anything relevant.

Planning to buy a FEZ Panda II to control the LED lighting on my marine aquarium. Chose it because it has an RTC and can multithread.

Downloaded all the development software, but it demands that I register it. When I try, it rejects my email address as “undefined.”

I’ve tried all my different (all valid) email addresses, waited a number of hours in case some server is down, and tried again.

Can anyone tell me what’s going wrong?

Thanks in anticipation,

JOhn

Welcome!

Which registration is this for, Visual Studio?

Welcome John, a screen shot would be a great help too !

John, welcome to the community!

I would also post this over on the MSDN forums. This sounds like an unusual problem that is probably related to your network. Do you have a proxy? You might try registering from a different computer on a different network then carrying the registration code over to your machine.

In the meantime, you should be able to install via the offline ISO download which I think gives you two weeks to use it w/o being registered. Hopefully, you’ll get the registration resolved during that time.

the URL of the registration page would help.

Thanks, guys, for all the suggestions. Managed to fix it myself when I tried this morning. Either the Microsoft server was having conniptions yesterday or else it regards email addresses as case sensitive! Typed my email address in in lower case (I usually capitalize it) and it went through fine.

Sorry to waste everyone’s time. Hope to see you around with more interesting topics.
