Too late :(

Sadly it looks like GHI is a little too late with the OSD3358 module that I was hoping to be using for a current project. :frowning:

I have just ordered 2 of the new 4D Systems Linux modules with 7" LCD for a control system project.

I have been developing the software on the Raspberry Pi 3 and the 4D modules are almost compatible.

I was considering the Pi 3 but it is just not rugged enough to handle the ambient temperatures these will endure. I was also considering them with Windows 10 IoT but the boot time is way too long.

@ Dave McLaughlin - oh you will come back on the next design. Once you use GHI, you get spoiled

Still using GHI for NETMF. Already ordered and received modules from Mouser

Shame that your OSD3358 was showing 4 weeks for months now

Are you saying that 4D Systems has a Win10 IoT Core compatible module or that was with the Pi3? If you found 4D Systems has an IoT Core compatible module, I’d be interested in a link.

Definitely unfortunate for GHI that @ Gary took so many lunch breaks and didn’t get everything ready for you in time…

Bloody criminal that there are Adafruit fruit boards, Arduino and mBed and nothing for NETMF…

I think i will come back into the office and kick some arse…

Hi Ian, here is the link.

http://www.4dsystems.com.au/product/Armadillo_70T/

It currently runs Linux but as the processor is the same as the Pi 3, then it would be possible to run Windows IoT at some point in the future.

For now I am using QT5 to do the development so quite happy with Linux as the boot time is around 10 seconds or so.

@ Bill Gates - Oh Yes Please. We’re tired of lack luster Microsoft (this is not sarcasm).
