It’s be great if Microsoft’s MFUpdate was implemented on Hydra/Cerb (other open source that comes down the line) or GHI’s SystemUpdate allowed usage on such devices.

Which would make it pretty impractical for Cerb family, but Hydra could take that hit just as easily as the Spider does (better, probably).
I guess I was thinking space wise. But GHI did also free up some space & RAM recently. 
The 42x version of the microcontroller should make RAM and flash space problems disappear…
