Maybe I owe some explanation here and I apologize if I came across anything less than professional.
We acknowledge the fact that we had passed though a period where the software quality was not the usual top notch, like it was in the NETMF 4.1 days. The TCP/IP stack and SSL stacks were completely changed and those were some major changes with many issues to cover. We also changed our internal libraries completely, to be more standard and uniform. The NETMF 4.2 days were not golden and we have worked VERY hard on cleaning and clearing everything up. Just take a look at our company history timeline here https://www.ghielectronics.com/about where we did not release ANY NETMF products in 2014! Why? We are serious about bringing quality back and assuring everyone that they would get the amazing “GHI product experience” like before. We put any new development on hold for a whole year just to bring the software the great state it was in the 4.1 days.
As announced months ago, we are proud to say that we are done and the software is back to top notch again. Today, you can see many new products being announced and we are back to normal operations. The 2015 release is stable and the only thing stopping it from being a pre-release is that we are adding couple new products to it.
Now, I am not saying we have a bug free software, and who does anyway But I would like invite everyone of you to try the latest software. Feedback is very much welcome but please do not make any assumptions related to any software released before 2015.
I wont say it’s top notch from my perspective because I can’t get PPP to work yet BUT and I use big BUT here, the support from GHI IS top notch (from my perspective) when it comes to trying to get things working, as many have seen in the forum when they have had issues. I’ve been on other manufacturers forums where the users are the only real ones doing the help but here we have real GHI employees helping out or only briefly.
Have you actually tried this with a G30HDR board? How did it work out? I ask because I am having a problem with mine that limit it to working for only 1 hour 11 minutes and 34 seconds. After that my Timer stops working and my periodic reading of analog inputs fails. See https://www.ghielectronics.com/community/forum/topic?id=22289
@ Gus - I have a separate post on the issue. I though like-minded people from this thread might have some insight if they are trying to have it run for 5 years.
