I think you should have a Spider Basic Kit for the Gadgeteer line. The Spider board is pretty useless on its own since you need at least some way of programming it. The “Starter Kit” is too much for some of us - mainly I have no interest in the expensive touch screen (or the camera). I suggest a kit that just has the USB Device Module, the USB Host Module and the Ethernet Module (all of which are really just passive socket adapters) in addition to the Spider itself.
This should not be necessary since we should just be able to buy the parts we need, but your distributers seem very reluctant to stock a full range of low-value parts whereas they might be willing to stock such a kit.
