One thing we can look at is launching a single Gadgeteer app from a plain NETMF app once per boot. Usefulness here would be giving Hydra a sort of IFU (one of the major reasons I created this 
)

So with the upcoming release of the gadgeteer core the netmf shelling should be possible as the pins are no longer reserved on launch.
