I already tried to connect my camera on COM1 and that works…
Ok good FEZ took the beating! but now you need to make sure you connect your modem through TTL not RS232. If you look at your board you will see the RS232 chip right before the connector…at least this is how it looks in the pictures.
The chip is MAX232

Sorry, I don’t really understand your last two posts.
MAX232 converts TTL to RS232 and RS232 to TTL signalling. I suspect what Gus was suggesting was for you to tap into the TTL signals on the MAX232. The TTL signal is on pin 11 and 12 of the MAX232, and the RS232 is on 13+14.
I need to solder a cable before the chip?
Actually, this is not enough. The chip has to be removed all together.
Basically, the modem has ot be connected directly yo FEZ, nothing in between
