Seeed modules in Toolbox

Evening,

How do I get the Seeed modules to show up in the designer toolbox?

thanks
Mike

With the latest GHI SKD the Seeed Gadgeteer SDK is included. You should be seeing the Seeed modules in the toolbox.

True but only on 4.1 as seeed hasn’t provided 4.2 yet.

Thanks Gus,

I was wondering that. I’m playing with the Cerberus as the Spider is preoccupied.

Mike

Have they given any clues as to when they will provide 4.2 for their modules? We all know you guys are slamming hard on 4.2, but what about Seeed?

Thanks

For the Cell modem - I had to go to their site to get the drivers and install them for it to show up. It was a straight forward MSI.

I suggest asking Seeed directly.

Just to clarify then, does this mean that if I uninstall all my 4.1 Gadgeteer SDKs and install the beta 4.2 ones, I wouldn’t be able to use the Seeed modules? I’ve a Spider mainboard so up to now have had no reason to bother with the 4.2 SDKs, but I have a Cerbuino on its way to me imminently, at which point I guess I’ll need to. I also have some of the Seeed modules and obviously want to be able to use them with either mainboard. Is that not going to work? Or does it mean I could continue to use them with projects using a Spider board but not with a Cerberus / Cerbuino board? I don’t want to have to have different development machines for different mainboards.

No. GHI’s 4.2 SDK includes 4.1. They can run side by side, but must be installed from the same SDK, so your previous version of 4.1 must be completely uninstalled first. See the first post in http://www.tinyclr.com/forum/topic?id=7187 .

I did exactly that last night and all the modules showed up. I have a spider and it works perfectly with this beta so far

Thanks guys.
