I’m curious of how these large capacitors / back-up battery solutions might compare with having a backup SD instead? Then you just only write to one at a time.
it doesn’t - you still need to protect against power going out, even if that is just writing and flushing the first card before starting the second; this can add a lot of latency in your app because the flush (the important part to avoid lost data / corruption) is a long process. In my view adding a power protection point is valuable as well, and infinitely easier in netmf since I don’t think you could even add a second SD card…
