I was wondering, if RLP would also work on the Gadgeteer Modul. I tried it, but I got an exception when
RLP.LoadELF(elf_file); was called.

This is a way-too-old-example to use. I was going to get to it one day and clean it up but maybe you and community can make ti happen sooner.
This is very complex project. Please start with something simpler to understand RLP
