Proper way to initialize network on gadgeteer spider

I’m currently migrating my RFID project to 4.2.9.0 and I’m not sure about the proper way of getting the network initialized the gadgeteer way on my spider(s). Can someone point me in the right direction, some sample code?

It seems still a bit buggy with dhcp enabled. Will 4.2.9.10 do a better job?
