Project - Gadgeteer Gas Sensors and ThingSpeak

Gadgeteer Gas Sensors and ThingSpeak

A demo of how to use ThingSpeak (an IOT web site) with a Gadgeteer Gas Sensor Device. Data from the sensors are displayed in real time on ThingSpeak and using some of ThingSpeak’s cool features the Gas Sensor device can send out Tweets for Alert and Alarm conditions. A very special thanks to Paolo for his ThingSpeak libraries which I got from his CodePlex ‘μPLibrary - Net Micro Framework Helper Library’ project at http://uplibrary.codeplex.com You can visit the ThingSpeak channel for this projects at Channels - ThingSpeak IoT while I’m testing different gas modules.

Love it. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome Duke!

Very nice. I’ve used both Cosm (formerly pachube) and ThingSpeak, and prefer the latter. It “just works”. I found Cosm can be flaky if you decide to change the feed settings after data collection has started.

Very cool project! Thanks!

Awesome project… thanks for providing the detail behind it and the video. I will get this on the ThingSpeak blog!

@ ThingSpeak - Please put a link to the blog post here after you are done. Thanks

This is on community showcase, thanks duke http://www.tinyclr.com/forum/topic?id=9716

This is great!

I don’t see this project on the showcase… Perhaps you could add it real fast and Duke could add a link in his video details? He’ll be getting a lot of traffic today. Would be nice to have a way to redirect some of that here.

I’m glad to see HAD continuing to not only feature Gadgeteer but to point out some of it’s best features, like ribbon cables making prototyping a breeze. Well done Duke, hail to the king!

Awesome. This is good for the the Gadgeteer technology and an inspiration for makers, hackers and Gadgeteers !

It was on showcase - but a while ago

Indeed it was… I thought so but I couldn’t find it again.

@ Duke, it would be great to add a link to that page to the description of your video. They can pick up some new gear while they’re here and hopefully we pick up a few new friends
