I’m designing a PCB for a stepper driver (L6470) and I’m wondering if there should be things to keep in mind when doing so. I"ve heard it mentioned that inductor load drivers such as that chip needs good heat transfer through the board (or something), but just in passing.
Is there a way (or guide) to designing PCBs that must have good thermal dissipation?
(NB I intent to use the toner transfer method to make the etch mask)
