My lovely wife thinks I may have gone a bit overboard with my test setup for the latest batch of code. I really have no idea what she’s talking about. It’s a very basic setup, you know the type…
Rig 1) Cobra II with VideoOut and wireless keyboard/mouse to test desktop mode
Rig 2) Raptor with T43, WiFi and SD for testing medium res with touch
Rig 3) Spider III with Ethernet, Joystick, Button, SD, Battery Pack and T35 for lowest res touch + emulated mouse
Rig 4) G400D with Ethernet, MicroSD and 7" New Haven Cap Touch for large res touch
If anyone is wondering how things are going, the system now automatically detects which GHI board its running on and will load displays based on current settings (including VideoOut), network, and so on without any file telling it what to do.
I’ve my new desktop up and running which has drag and drop transparency and antialias support (even while dragging), animated GIFs, CIFS and updates.
It’s a but slow going but I’m being extremely thorough. Saving WiFi networks and host names and so forth. Bit longer and I’ll have something to show.
It is currently running untethered only needing the PC connection for Kernel updates.
