That sounds great. Good luck with the new group!
@ Skewworks,
Good luck with the new endeavor and no one would be better suited for such events⦠iām sure you are going to get them all dazzled with all the GUI Magic you can do and moreā¦they are lucky to have you aboard for sureā¦
Iām very close to releasing Tinkr, so close in fact I just finished the doc.
@ Ian - Howās this for youā¦you can now debug IApplication apps inside the emulator
Oh, that would be a dream come true! Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!
You can pick up your free copy at the usual place. Once I have the product page up and ready (need to make the free demo version and a video first) Iāll get you set up with a proper license so youāll get update notifications and an download updates with a code.
You rock. Iāve got something else to finish the next couple nights then Iāll be back to playing with Tinkr. Looking forward to trying out your new goodies.
Resurrecting the thread for my next experiment. Iām throwing out all the GUI Iām used to and layering so much multi-touch your mind would explode memorizing the movements if they didnāt just make so much sense.
First new controlā¦lock control. Just like on Android you can draw a pattern to unlock. Unlike Android: tracks number of times over each circle (up to 3x) allowing for several orders of magnitude more combinations.
Next up the desktop looks a bit like Metro with a difference. Each tile starts off as 1x1 grid (72x72 pixels) and can be manually sized to 1x1, 2x1, 2x2 and 3x3ā¦3x3 is HUGE. This allows you to quickly find the apps you use most. Items can be grouped, ungrouped, dragged between groups and resorted within their current group.
Menusā¦oh man, menus. 4 different ways to bring it up on the CP7; my favorite being a 3 finger tap. Menus slide out and can be scrolled just like the desktop icons (horizontally a la Win8 phone). Got an expandable menu item? Tap it and all the menus will collapse and then re-expand where needed for the sub-menus. Youāll have a back option you can click/tap.
And when youāre done on the screen or application? Put down 2 fingers and slide right to throw the screen off / exit the application.
Itāll probably take a few weeks to work up a rough demo of just these but hereās some very quick demo art for now.
Looks great!
Awesome! Canāt wait to get this on my Gadgetab. So, will you be starting an App Store???
@ Josh - check out the wrapping of the post numbers in the top right corner of these posts > 99
Finally started work on the first new control. The core is already 80% complete with more security, features and speed than Tinkr.
CombinationLock control has and insane number of combinations 4x4 grid with each item capable of being hit up to 3 times; hereās a look at it running in the emulator.
