NETMF PC Anyone?

Here’s my latest little side project…a full PC based on the FEZ Cobra w/ USB Keyboard, WiFi, SBASIC, Skewworks Apps and Full NETMF applications.

Very cool!

Wow, what is next? Windows OS running on top of netmf?

If anyone is pushing the boundaries of what can be done with Gadgeteer, its you, WOW!!!

There’s a lot more to come. Next I’ll add an editor so you can create SBASIC right on the fez then FTP, Vault-Link etc

@ Gus - 3.1esque is in the works for this, yes

And full MF implementation. Impressive!

I have an idea for you, see these links

It doesn’t have to be this one but any old 8bit console. One with plenty of games

All in good time. When Cobra II gets here I’ll connect w/ the VideoOut to a monitor and see where I can go from there.

For now…text editor time.

Spectrum brings back some memories. All those hours spent playing Elite.

I’ve uploaded the necessary code here:

@ Skewworks - Fantastic!

@ Skewworks - You never cease to amaze me!

I’m with Gus, we need a way to quickly port a bunch of games to NETMF.

Very cool project!

Looks like I made Hack a Day.

Very cool – congrats on the HaD!

Congrats, Thom! You’re wasting your time trying to defend your choices against Hack-A-Day Arduino zealots. It never looks good. You did get in a couple good come-backs, though

Yeah I’ve been on HaD enough to deal w the slings; mainly I’m hoping to open up a couple of minds to NETMF. Every project of mine they’ve listed has had lots of negative feedback but I hand it to the editors for continuing to list NETMF projects anyway; it seems obvious to me they’re trying to show all the options.
