How to make nice professional-looking video clips?

Not that I have cool videos that I want to make at this time or anything, but this has been my question and I want to get it out to the community.

I saw some made pretty simple but awsome video clips which has intro music or background music, flying text so on and so forth. Can someone point out some quick tips like camera, equiments, video software, editing technic etc…how to join 2 clips into one? Please keep your instruction as short as possible

Thanks in advance!

Windows Live Movie Maker (WLMM) has all that you mention. You can add multiple video files, add transitions, titles, text, music, lots of other things…

The vid I did with the Panda, I used WLMM. The coolest part (for me) was the transitions that it has plus the fact that I could run sections at 2x or 4x speed.

I use Sony Vegas Pro (which i got with a HD Cam i bought awhile ago and have since sold). Friends of mine are big fans of Pinnacle Video Studio and Adobe Premier. I have premier but using back in version 6 or so scared the crap out of me - learning curve was a brick wall. It’s probably better now but oh well.

These are all done with Vegas:

as are these (good friend of mine)

In the end though, it’s not the software, it’s the person driving it. Just like if you have a meal at a nice restaurant, you ask who the chef was, not what oven he used :stuck_out_tongue:

@ MarkH
This is kind of things that I’m looking for when I asked you a question about the tutorial on video in the other thread.

Thanks for sharing.

Ah ok, i thought you wanted to know how to make tutorial videos, not how to make any old video

Great Guys,
Thanks you will try these next time I create a video.

Thanks!
