GHI USB Debugging driver won't start

I just received a Hydra and have installed .NET MF 4.1 plus the GHI SDK.

After connecting the device I’ve noticed that the “GHI .NET Micro Framework USB Debugging Interface” fails to start.

Driver Date: 13-01-2010
Driver Version: 1.0.0.2

Any clues on how to make it work?

I’m powering the device using the USB Client SP Module I bought.

Please see this long thread http://tinyclr.com/forum/21/5470/

Yhym, so it seems that it’s still a work-in-progress.

I’ve just ordered a powered USB hub and will be trying the device on a different machine in a few days.

What is the speed of the processor in the PC where you are having a problem?

It is a 2011 MacBook Pro 2,0GHz i7.

I’m running VMWare Fusion 4.1.1 (with 4 cores and 4GB ram dedicated to it).

When you post a problem, it is usually a good idea to tell us about your environment.

I have also been having an issue with running a MF development environment under Fusion. I have been attributing it to the processor speed of my IMac (3.4GHZ i7), but it is interesting to see an issue on a slower processor. It is also interesting to note that you are having a problem with an i7 processor. All of the people reporting this problem have been running recent generation Intel or AMD chips.

We know how to recreate a problem on a Windows 7 system, and I suspect once a solution is found it will also fix the problem with VM hosted systems.
