Game changer

While I agree in general, I don’t spend much (if any) time looking at other people’s C# code when I’m developing software for my NETMF micros, so I don’t see any reason why I would spend much time looking at other people’s JS code while developing for something like this. The fact that there’s lots of terrible JS code out in the world doesn’t affect me at all.

That being said, as a language, I like C# a LOT more than I like JS. JS has some limitations that make it awkward in some situations. Furthermore, if this uses a “purpose-built” (his words) engine, then who knows how compliant it’ll be.

In my world, the two very most important factors are cost and performance. It’ll be interesting to see how this performs on those two metrics.

With onboard RAM and flash, that’s not going to be price competitive, but the hardware is significantly more powerful.
