Gadgeteer is still pretty young, but are there any success stories of a company using it to rapid prototype? If this has been the case with Panda I can only imagine gadgeteer being more accessible. I’ve been demoing some ghi stuff to my peers (we’re software not hardware) and it is generating a lot of interest.
I don’t want to misrepresent anything, so is it realistic to turn over a gadget to GHI and say ‘please turn this cerberus + gadgeteer modules into a single board’ and remove any extraneous components’? As part of a consulting engagement, of course.

It might be bad form to disclose that a major Chinese missile manufacturer is using GHI Electronics to make it’s .NetMF based guidance systems that it then turns around and sells to US defense contractors at a substantial markup
I realize pricing is wholly dependant on complexity and time. My back of the envelope numbers based on an assumed setup of about 30K and some wild guesses on wholesale hardware vs. gadgeteer retail, the number that I came up with is that if you were doing over 400 units you’re in the territory where it make sense to get ‘custom’. In addition to a smaller unit, which probably would have less power consumption (if components removed).
I don’t need a quote, but am I wildly off with my numbers?
