Reminded me of this weekend project:
Should the timer drift that far out without an RTC? I dont know enough about how the timer ticks are handled but i woulnt personally expect much more than a couple of mins over a 24 hour period? or am i being dumb?

some time ago I had the RTC hooked up in a 4.1 spider project. I used a 3 Volt coin cell CR 2032 in conjunction with a diode connected to the RTC_VBat pin (28) of the EMX (didnt see that it is also available on the Z socket). It worked fine. Unfortunately the code is not in a very good condition, so I cannot post it here at the moment.
