My wife just got me a “FEZ Mini” a couple of days ago as a gift. I’ve just started working on it, and found that the wheels are too close together to fix into the slots in the chassis!
Even if I unscrew the little self-tapping screws so much that the wheels are about to fall off, the wheels just barely fit in the slots. I am certain I’ve done the assembly up to this point correctly…there’s not really much you can do wrong after all.
Any suggestions? Am I going to have to attack the chassis with my Dremel to make the slots a little bigger?? I really don’t care of going through the hassle of returning this or anything, I only wanted to play with it and try to learn some c# programming. I’m disabled and don’t get out much, and I hate to put my wife through the hassle.
Did I do something so incredibly stupid or obvious that I’ll be embarrassed for the rest of my life?
Might be helpful if you could snap a pic or two and post them? I haven’t personally used the FEZ Mini robot kit, but there may be others on the forum who’d could help, if they can visualize the issue with a photo.
Well, I did something incredibly stupid! I was just about to click some pics when I realized that the mounting box I thought was square was actually rectangular, and I mounted the servers on the long sides, making them too close together! The instructions didn’t really mention the orientation, so I won’t take the whole fault, but if I wasn’t assembling this at 2:30am I probably would have had my wits with me and noticed the difference.
