Fez Connect shield with WiFi Ethernet Bridge

Yes too ! Thanks. I’ll give it a try next week

Hello.

I am a bit confused reading this. I seem to have an issue above and beyond what you are talking about. I have the wifi bridge, I connect it to my PC, I set the SSID. It’s happy.

Then in the process of disconnecting it from my PC and connecting it to my FEZ, it looses everything. I got the impression that the settings would be sort of “stored” in the device. If I am wrong, does this mean it can never be powered down?

What am I missing?

Yes settings are stored internally.

How did you get to this conclusion?

Thank you for the quick responses.

I came to that conclusion because the fez would never connect through the wifi when it would with a wired connection. When the wifi was plugged unto the pc it would light up green after being configured, but on the Fez it stays orange.

I plugged it back into the pc and it stayed orange there too until I reran the config. When I did this, it appeared as if I had never before done it. Thus my confusion.

I am using a nonpublished SSID with WPA2-PSK, if that matters.

Generate a MAC address and use it in your code:

Connect it using an Ethernet cable and make sure it is working.
Make sure that you got the PC connected to the network using the WiFi bridge. Then try it on FEZ Connect.

Bingo. I am impressed. Thank you…

Welcome
