EMX and IO21

I can see that the FEZ Cobra uses IO21 for EMX / Cobra board detection. Since I am integrating an EMX into my design, I was going to pull up that pin so it knows it is an EMX.

I guess my question is, is it necessary to do that? Does 4.2 even check this pin anymore?

This pin is not required. It is up to you if you wish to use it.
