Why does the DuinoProto not have Gadgeteer’s mandatory 5mm grid, 3.2mm holes? 
That is why it is blue It is not following the gadgeteer standard.

Is the use of blue for non-standard boards part of the standard?
I guess not since that would make the board standard.
