Gotta love those extenders, I have done exactly the same using an extender and a breadboard. I do really like the Idea the proto modules though. Makes it feel like more of a gadgeteer experience.
I’ve just acquired a MakeBread module (thanks!!!) - and that’s much more breadboardable than the extender.
