I have seen the software wads that we push to Windows 10 IoT core referred to as ‘containers’. Most of the work of versioning and field updating of embedded apps in the NETMF world has always been left to the app developer, but I am hopeful that this foreshadows a http://resin.io type service for Windows 10 IoT or at least the possibility to do our own push from the cloud for in-field updates.
I know I have read about containerization for Azure and the Windows Server, but has anyone heard in the public literature about how/whether that or something like it relates to IoT Core for managing distribution, versions and updates?
