COM1 Starts Spewing CPU register values

Richard,

I disconnected the usb cable from the micro debug port and applied 12VDC to the power jack.

Same results, com port starts spewing crash data after ~30sec.

Mike,
I reloaded the firmware. Same results as above.

the “spewing register values over COM1” is as I think Gus said very early, your app crashing the netmf in a terminal way.

I think your code is causing this. I haven’t tested it on a device, but I think you assume the CNT incrementing will wrap from the maximum value to the minimum value “automagically” but it does not. If you wrap your CNT++ in a try/catch you may trap the exception, or you can use int.MaxValue to check you’re not attempting to exceed the bounds.

The code crashes in ~30sec and cnt = 10,000 (approx)

Says plainly that you need to use 7V-30V, I think its even printed on the board. USB DP is Dual Power, meaning you can power via USB or power jack, power jack takes priority if both are connected. Anyway its not the problem, seems the problem is in System.Text.Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes, have you tried using the BitConverter??

The Cobra II (eco) has on board usb client, no module needed?
