I recently watched Ex Machina. It got a bit slow at times but in the end it definitely left me thinking. Nice twist to the Turing test. I’d definitely recommend it. He also had some great ideas for how robots should look 
I watched Transcendence recently, also. It was interesting but reminded me more of Terminator (another AI movie not on the list).
