I finally figured out that even though there is a super cap on the cellular board, I need to externally power the Cerberus cellular board for proper operation. Is it safe to apply an external 5VDC supply to the same line that us being supplied by the USB port while debugging/firmware loading? I understand the cellular board can draw up to about 2 amps as needed. It would have been nice to have a separate power supply on the board to accommodate this need. I’m also concerned that 2 amps won’t flow nicely through the small ribbon cables. What are they rated to?
No, you need powered hub or power pack on the DP module.
