Cerb40 with header pins?

Hello,

I’ve just received my first CERB 40.
I finally found a STM32F4 board in a DIP40 format … (And flashable/debugable though SWD
I think it’s the only one that exists today…
Congratulation for this great piece of hardware.

I wondered why don’t you sell cerb40 with pre-soldered header pins ?
Would that raise much the price ? How much ?

If i can port my synth to STM32F4 that currently uses a maple-mini (STM32F1), i would need around 50 cerb40 at some point.
I would be more than happy to pay a few bucks more per board to have the header already soldered…

Thanks,

Xavier

Some people would like the Cerb40 without headers so they can directly solder wires to it.
If you know how to solder, it is easy to add headers. If not, it is time to learn.

When you are ready to order, give GHI a call and see what options are available please.

It is a lot easier to solder them on than it is for others to remove them !!!

@ Ixox - something that may help you with your project… http://wiki.tinyclr.com/index.php?title=Cerb40_Prototyping_Platform. This is available in community offers, http://wiki.tinyclr.com/index.php?title=Community_Offers . I make them, so also shamelessly plug them where appropriate

On headers - the gold plated male headers are fairly pricey in small volume. They do look really nice on something like the proto board above (purple and gold theme), but I only include them as an option if requested. Strangely, the best price I’ve seen are the retail packs from Adafruit, Break-away 0.1 36-pin strip male header - Black - 10 pack : ID 392 : $4.95 : Adafruit Industries, Unique & fun DIY electronics and kits . This even beats digikey and mouser.

OK, I’ll do that… thanks.
